Working to make someone else rich!!??
i just realized that ebay is the biggest scam of all! You are listing away to try to sell stuff and maybe make a little bit of money ,but all you never really make any profit. You just are working hard each month to try to pay the fees from the last month. The HUge money makers are few and far between! I have never made any profit. I actually have been sending stuff out for free if you think about it. I am not going to do ebay anymore. I am not going to work this hard just to make them rich. Not to mention my electric bill going up because I am online all day trying to list and research stuff to list.

Herb Farming Can Be A Profitable Business
Have you noticed the high price of fresh herbs in the supermarket lately? It amazes me why more people aren't getting into the lucrative area of growing and processing fresh herbs.

If you want to try your hand at herb farming, grow herbs that do well in your area. Start small, you can expand later with a green house, climate control and soil manipulation. You can begin with just a hot frame to start your seeds, and a screened area for drying your herbs away from insects and other undesirables.

Do a lot of homework before you start your herb farm. Go to the library or bookstore and find out what are the needs of the herbs you plan to plant. After you know what herbs you will be planting on your herb farm go through the history of that particular herb. Also see if it has any folklore or medicinal uses attached to it. Make up little booklets with this information as a "give aways" with your plants, it makes it more attractive to the buyer and will add to your sales and profits.

During your research, include study on which herbs attract pests. (Basil attracts white flies which are difficult to eliminate). Another trick is to keep herbs that attract pests away from the ones that do not on your herb farm.

If you are proficient with your computer, make up nice labels for your herbs. If not, go to a printer and have them make them for you. When you get to the stage that you are shipping herbs, always put a little information on the herb in the package. It gives your package a personal touch and your customer will be more apt to buy again.

Once you have a crop in you will need to market your inventory. Go to Gourmet Restaurants and Gourmet stores. Don't forget health food stores and caterers. Talk to the chef or owner and explain what you have. You may try to leave some of your stock at the establishment on consignment to get your customers to see the value of fresh herbs. Offer to set up a display with a poster for their window. Or offer them a "special introductory price". You may even know some people in your area that just love to cook and would be ecstatic if they were part of your route. Exposure is key at this stage for both your name and your herbs. Go back to these potential customers often to build up your reliability.

Another important step is to write press releases that you can send to your local newspapers. Here is where the research on the folklore will come in handy. Use your gathered data on the folklore attached to herbs in the press release. These press releases will introduce you, and your products to the marketplace. Post them on the web as well, this will help you get customers from out of town. Be imaginative on the many interesting uses of fresh herbs and of course, how to find you as the source.

You may want to set up a network with other herb farms to buy from, at wholesale prices. This way if you get low on some herb stock you have a place to obtain it for your customers. Remember, they are depending on you and you want to keep their business.

An inexpensive way to advertise your business is to buy the magnetic signs that stick on your car door. Be creative, make people want to buy your products from YOU.

So, jump in your car, go to the library and start studying on how to become an herb farmer.

    Happy Gardening!

Start a Herb Garden Home Business
It seems that the herb business is a growth business these days. In an ever increasing effort to find the next health food to satisfy the pallet of the American population, herbs have been receiving a lot of attention from the media. Numerous articles are being churned out daily touting the health benefits of herbs. This is a real winner, aside from the reported health benefits, herbs also add to the taste of bland foods such as potatoes, rice and vegetables.

So what does this mean to a stay at home mother with kids? A new item to purchase on the next grocery trip, or can there be more? The answer is that there most definitely can and is more to this. Moms at home can now turn this opportunity into a small thriving business if implemented correctly.

How can moms implement this home-based herb business at home? Here are a few steps that should be taken to ensure success.

Who will your customers be? The most popular options are in the local neighborhood. Contact your local grocers produce manager and then the local restaurant manager. The key question is not asking them if they want to buy from you, we know they need herbs, but rather ask them which herbs they need?

Before venturing out stop by the local library if you are not familiar with herbs and study up on how herbs grow, what are their scientific names, what is the growing season, how much yield can you expect from each plant? Bottom line, do your homework. Do not let them trip you up with a simple question. They will not ask a complicated question.

    Study up on these herbs;

Basil, French Tarragon, Peppermint, Oregano, Sweet Marjoram, Rosemary, French Sorrel, Dill, Chives, Parsley, Thyme, Sage

Find out what the current wholesale prices are for these herbs. You can find this data through a subscription service. Typically these services cost a few dollars per month and may even include a free trial service. Otherwise you will need to work with the local grocer to find out what he is willing to pay. If you have a good reliable service he will work with you.

Decide on your packaging and labeling. Packaging and custom labels can be cost effective when purchased in bulk, but first find out if you will have any orders before purchasing supplies. You can design and make you own initial packaging for presentation purposes with the help of a local arts and crafts store.

To continue to enjoy success you should actively monitor which herbs customers are purchasing. You can either speak to the grocer who can see which herbs are selling best or ask the manager if you can speak with customers in the store.

Additionally it would be good to create some excitement out of cooking with herbs; many people do not know how to cook with them or what the benefits may be gained from herb cooking. Try running in store cooking classes for an hour or two. Provide demonstrations along with supplying free recipes that customers can take home to try themselves. Of course have some herb samples available to hand out and others to sell.

So once you have achieved your initial success, how will you take your fledging business to the next level? Well first you should decide what the next level is and what it can be. If you want more sales, can you support more sales through additional service? Would you need to hire someone to assist you? Can the next level just be, providing quality herbs to a minimal number of distributors that are completely satisfied with your product?

Once you have decided on a direction you should update your business plan to reflect the new course you will take. You should fully consider SWOT, what are the STRENGTHS of your direction, what are the WEAKNESSES, what are the OPPORTUNITIES, and what are your THREATS? Once you have answered these questions you are well on your way to either going on the new direction more successfully or placing the new direction on temporary hold until you are able to overcome the identified weaknesses or increased the compensating strengths.

I hope that this article has been helpful to your quest to join the ranks of the millions of people who are engaged in home-based self employment. The opportunities to make money selling something and in this case, herbs, are numerous. The question is to find your niche and to work at it as hard as possible so that success is not a dream but a reality.

Start a Hot Cookie Delivery Business
A stay at home mom who loves to make and bake homemade cookies can start this home-based business. Who in their right mind would ever turn down the scrumptious morsel of a freshly baked brownie, chocolate chip or almond cookie? Cookies are as American as apple pie and millions of moms and grandmothers bake the absolute best cookies straight out of their homes.

The marketing niche of this business is that you bake cookies and then deliver them hot to a customer. The business model is very much the same as that of the pizza delivery business. In the pizza business, they bake pizzas to order and then deliver them to their clients straight from the oven. This is exactly what you do in the hot cookie delivery business.

This is how the business works. You have ready-made dough, which you have either pre-made or purchased from the store. I would suggest that you find a great recipe from your grandmother or from someone you know and bake it yourself. Customers call in their order with at least an hours notice and give you their order. (You should stipulate a minimum order and a maximum driving distance; otherwise, you will be baking five cookies and delivering it to a home 20 miles out of town) Once they give you their order, you bake the cookies, and then place them in a container that will hold its heat so that your cookies do not arrive cold.

You can market your hot cookie delivery business to local businesses around your neighborhood. If possible, you want your market to be very close to where you will be baking the cookies. It will be even better if you live in a city where there are hundreds of businesses located in a very small area.

To get the word out you can make and bake a sampling of your cookies to hand as a taste test. Good business targets are real estate agents, accountants and any office workers who can take five minutes to taste your cookies. Before you leave make sure they get an ordering guide and even some coupons for first time orders.

I hope that this article has inspired you to try this business idea. The beauty of this business startup is that you can start it with very little initial capital. You will need a quality oven, a phone that can stay open for order taking and possibly even a fax machine. Once you outgrow your startup location, you will need to find a small kitchen with a commercial oven. At that point, you can begin to approach the Small Business Development Corporation for assistance with planning for your business growth. For now let us focus on the first step of getting started, established and financial healthy, I wish you all the best in starting your new business.

    Work At Home Craft Business
An at home craft business would be like a dream come true for many people who have that creative flair. They would be able to do something they love, and earn their living by doing it, the best of both worlds.

There are many different kinds of at home craft businesses, all of which can be very successful for the owner. Many artists have made their favorite craft into a business for themselves, crafts such as woodworking; flower pressing, soap making, candle making, crocheting, and beading all have turned profits.

If you are a man, don't automatically assume that you couldn't have a successful at home craft business. It is often thought that crafting is something that only women are good at, but that simply is not true. All you have to do in order to have a successful at home craft business is to focus on your talent, use it to create beautiful items, and then enjoy gaining the profits from the sale of those items.

Woodworking is often thought of as an old-fashioned craft, but the reality is, that very few people can turn down a beautiful, handmade wooden piece. From furniture to handmade wooden toys, you shouldn't have to worry about people not wanting your crafts, as they are all very popular, especially of late.

You should be familiar with all of the ins and outs of woodworking, and it should be something that you really enjoy doing. If this description fits you, then you would likely be very happy with your own woodworking business. You should be able to earn a living with it as well!

If you like the art of flower pressing, and consider yourself to be good at it, then you could probably make a good profit by turning it into a home based business. Pressed flowers are used for many purposes, including gifts for special occasions, weddings, and home decor.

The art of flower pressing is pretty simple and quick to learn, and you don't have to be a famous artist or even have a lot of creativity in order to be good at it. You can do something that is pretty easy, and still make a nice chunk of change doing it.

One home craft business that is sure to give you plenty of profits and enjoyment is a soap making business. People are gaining more and more interest in all natural products, so if you make special soaps that contain only all natural ingredients, you are filling a need that not many people in business recognize or cater to.

There are many resources that can teach you the basics of soap making; you can find them on the internet, or in your local library. Your local craft store may also have a soap making kit to help get you started.

Many people have become successful with their own at home candle making business. It is a very popular craft, so expect a lot of competition. But, the good news is, candles serve many purposes, one of which is great gifts for all occasions, so you shouldn't have any problems with not having customers.

Candles can be scented, and used for relaxation purposes, as well as beautiful home accent pieces as well. Any size, shape, or color that you think of can be made into candle form, so let your imagination run wild.

As of late, beading has been regaining in popularity, and now is one of the most successful types of at home craft businesses that you can have. If beading is your thing, chances are you can turn out many lovely, high-quality pieces each day.

Now all you have to do is sell them for a decent profit, and you are in business. You probably even have pieces that you have done just lying around, that could be sold for a tidy profit as well. To be successful with a beading at home craft business, it has to be more than just your hobby; you have to be skilled enough to make your work unique.

People who buy crafts are looking for something that is different, something that no one else has, so making your work stand out above all others in quality and design is the key to you having a successful business.

Starting your own Fashion Design Business
What a lot of people don't realise is that many fashion design businesses have started out as just a small home business. In a lot of cases these businesses would even have been started from their kitchen table or spare bedroom. The fashion business is definitely a business which could be started from home and on a very small budget.

Laura Ashley was one such designer who started her design business on her kitchen table in London. She went on to build a very successful international design business.

Another international fashion designer whose fashion design talent was sown in his own home and at a very early age was the designer, Bruce Oldfield.

They, amongst other designers, have inspired many to live out their dream of owning their own fashion design business and following their footsteps to success.

The fun and pleasure of creating your own designs can start at any age. Once the fashion bug takes hold, it can be a very exciting and exhilarating time. The
adrenaline will constantly being stirred by the creation and completion of new designs. These designs may have been inspired by the most unusual items, such as a brick, the sunset, an old pattern, an architectural building, or any item.

If you find yourself sketching or doodling designs on every spare piece of paper, then you most likely have a hidden talent yourself for being a fashion designer.

Why not give yourself the opportunity to start a fashion business from your own home?

You could specialise in various niches, including women's clothing, full size clothing, gothic clothing etc. One way of starting your business would be to create a few samples of your designs and then promote them with the help of friends at house parties to find out if they are marketable.

When you have completed this initial research, you should then take your new business to the next level, which would be to prepare your business plan.

There are certain qualities required to run a fashion design business and two of the most important ones are, tenacity and determination. There will be many times when

working on your fashion business that you will feel like giving up and this will be entirely because of the enormous amount of work involved. This is when the tenacity quality will be required. You will have to have enough determination to achieve all the dreams you have for your fashion business success

Teaching Jewelry Making Workshops for Profit
Teaching jewelry making workshops is a fun and easy market niche, with the opportunity to earn good money by sharing something you love to do.

You'll find a ready supply of students waiting to learn from you; currently there's a big demand for jewelry workshops and classes.

Many people are thrilled with the idea of creating jewelry, but don't want to invest in the supplies until they've tried it. Or they may want to add a new jewelry making skill to their repertoire, or simply enjoy socializing while they create something beautiful to wear.

Teaching is a good way to keep money coming in during the times of year when sales are slower for your finished jewelry. You can even choose to limit your workshops to only those months of the year when you're not busy selling your own jewelry at shows.

Teaching opportunies abound. A few examples of places to hold workshops include your own studio; in local art, craft, or bead shops; in active retirement communities; in schools or for homeschooling groups; at birthday parties; for women's clubs; at lapidary clubs; in community colleges; and at RV parks.

You can put together a variety of jewelry kits that your students can purchase from you to use at your workshops, or bring an open selection of supplies for them to choose their own components.

However, the more choices you make available, the longer your students will take to select their components. Your workshops can be much easier for you as the instructor if you simply provide a variety of kits containing all the parts to make something.

The more jewelry making workshops you teach, the more people will ask you to teach. Your students will want to make more jewelry, or they'll ask you to do a workshop for a group they're in, or to lead a jewelry-making session with their Girl Scouts.

Your teaching opportunities tend to snowball once you get started.

You probably won't run out of workshop ideas, because your students will always let you know what they want to make next, or someone will have heard about your through the grapevine and contact you to ask if you can teach them how to make something special.

Here is a list of potential jewelry workshop students - groups who are VERY interested in what you have to offer them:

    Girl Scouts
    Women's Clubs / Organizations
    City Parks and Recreation
    Local Art Galleries
    Local Craft Stores
    Local Bead Shops
    Needlework Shops
    Local Lapidaries
    Lapidary Club
    Women's Craft Groups
    Women's Church Groups
    Country Clubs
    Community Colleges
    Private Schools
    Home-school Groups
    Active Retirement Communities
    Activity Centers
    Women's Home Parties
    Spouses' Activity at a Conference
    Cruise Ship Activity
    Summer Day Camps
    Mentally / Physically Challenged
    Veterans' Groups
    YMCA's
    Retired People's Organizations
    Adult Education Centers
    After-School Care Programs
    Vacation Resorts
    RV Parks

This list should get you started; it's just a general list, and with a little brainstorming you'll probably come up with some great ideas for the area where you live. Every region has its own culture, with lots of possibilities for specific jewelry making workshops!

Keep your eyes open and be creative, and you'll begin to find jewelry workshop students everywhere! And once you get started, ask your students and everyone else you know for suggestions on other groups who would be interested in a workshop.

Word-of-mouth publicity will soon bring you all the new students and opportunities you can keep up with!

How To Be Successful With Internet Home Based Business
Like any business, it demands our time and effort but compared its offlinecounterpart an online business is much easier especially when it is well established an in some cases can even be put on autopilot where it will run itself.

This makes it much cheaper to operate due to low overhead costs such as rent for extra premises, rates and gas.

To run a successful work at home business online, there are certain neccessary steps you need to take in order to ensure long-term success. This simple step-by-step guide will enable anyone to establish a successful internet home based business.

    #1. RESET YOUR THNINKING
People getting online with a "Get-Rich-Quick" mentality often quit in abject disappointment a few months down the line. Like the old fable, the tortoise
wins the race in the end. This is critical as putting things in the right perspective can make a big difference on your success or failure. There are a lot
of greedy scammers out there lying in wait for the vulnerable and they show no mercy. Unless you hit the lottery or a rich relative dies, there's no getting
rich on the internet overnight. This brings me to my next point:

    #2. RESEARCH and MORE RESEARCH
This is so important to any business especially your home internet business. In fact even more so since, the internet by its very nature consists of a bunch of faceless people who are communicating to each other. Find your product, ideally one you are passionate about. If you already have a product or
service then you are one step ahead of the game. It is always easier to sell items that you will buy yourself. If you intend to be a serious player then,
it is vital to establish your image right from the onset. There are a lot of tacky businesses online, not illegal but may border on unethical. You have to
decide which way to go. It is important to remember that for best long-term success, it is best to associate with "clean" businesses.

    #3. CREATE A WEBSITE
If you are going to be marketing goods and services on the internet, then you need a website. There are some programs on the web which you can market without
a website but in each case you can sell a whole lot more if you have a good website. With more and more people getting on the internet, now is the time to
have your own online business. It does not mean that you have to build a huge, expensive web site, but you do need a site. Not just any kind of site. The
best type of site is a unique custom built one. With technology these days, it is easy to purchase cheap ready-made websites, but so will so many other
people which will mean duplicated content which search engines do not like that very much.

The number one thing people get on the internet to look for is information. Your aim is to provide that information in such a way that they will come back
for more FROM YOU. In other words, create a winning website, one that will keep your visitors coming for more.

To create your website you need to, as mentioned above, have a target niche and build a comprehensive keyword list which you will need to develop your site.
Provide as much relevant content and free information as possible working around your keywords so as to attract visitors that will become repeat visitors. They need to feel like they are being provided a great service and that your site can be used as a reference point for whatever their interests may lay be it for career, lifestyle or hobby.

If your site is about tennis for instance, add as much up-to-date information as possible about the current tennis stars, tournaments, grand slams and such like. An interesting website sill cause your visitors to view your website as a resource they WILL come back time and time again. Very soon, you'll become an expert in their eyes and trusted partner and will buy the products you recommend. They will begin to recommend your site to their family and friends and this is where it gets exciting: this form of viral marketing is vital to any internet home business. That is how big companies such as Yahoo and MSN started.

    #4.PERSIST IN MARKETING YOUR WEBSITE
Internet marketing is a whole different game to its offline counterpart. If you had a shop, it's location will be important, with an internet home business,
information is what people go by. The best place for marketing your website is through the search engines. This means free traffic, the catch is your website
has to be good. If Google throws up poor results, people will vote with their feet and find a better search engine and they will loose advertising revenue.
Same for all other search engines. You need to submit your website to the main ones (Google, Yahoo, MSN) first. Then concentrate on building the popularity
of your website by building links. The more automation you bring into the picture by buying the relevant software, the better. Place a link to your website wherever it is possible. Gradually your links will be the most powerful aspect for your business.

SETTING UP YOUR OWN CRAFT CONSIGNMENT SHOP
    Sunday, November 26, 2006
Sell arts and craft items to the public on a commission basis from your converted garage workshop or basement showroom. If you have access to a public location, a garage or small building (even a portable building) on your lot, along the highway or well-traveled street frontage or can rent space in a marketable area, the consignment business is worthy of consideration.

Note that some small towns these days have stores with very reasonable rent.

Many people who enjoy (and are good at) making craft or art items do not like (or don’t have the means) to sell them. Some simply can’t (or won’t) and others are actually too embarrassed (self conscious) to market their own creations.

Most crafts people do not even recover the cost of their materials! These crafters will welcome a service to market their creations. They won’t have to worry about that part of it, and will probably realize more for their efforts even after your commission.

They would undoubtedly realize even LESS than if they sold their own products at wholesale prices. With you taking care of the selling, they can devote their time and talents to creating more products.

Of course you can also make and sell your own craft products in your spare time, or offer instructions to others. This type of business is not limited to any certain type of crafts. In fact, it is quite flexible and can easily be adapted to whatever products are available and in demand in your area.

You should have a written agreement with each consignor. The easiest way is to have your terms printed on receipts you give them for their crafts. If there is any possibility of a misunderstanding, make sure they understand the agreement.

The printed terms should have a place for a minimum price desired by the owner and cover a specific period of time so you don’t become overloaded with things that won’t sell at the prices you must ask. Something like thirty days would be fine for most articles. If it hasn’t sold by then you can either re-negotiate with the owner or give it back.

Retain a copy of each receipt in your permanent files. You also have the option of buying items outright -- the craft person might be willing (even anxious) to sell at a good price for cash. In a very short time, you will be able to judge what will sell and how much it will bring. You can also stock craft supplies -- some of which you can sell to your crafters for even more profit and service to your clientele (both customers and clients).

You will be responsible for reasonable care and safeguarding of merchandise consigned to you (insurance for that should not be terribly expensive) as well as collecting for sales, withholding any tax, computing and paying the consignors their share. With this in mind, be extra careful about giving credit, because it will be YOUR funds that are lent, NOT the consignor’s!

For consignment sales, it is a good idea to consider renting a store unless you already have a suitable area where prospective customers will come to your display. Build or buy adequate shelves and display areas so you will have plenty of room to 'showcase' the craft items tastefully and attractively.

The display area should be well-lighted,neat and offer sufficient protection to goods consigned to your care. There should be enough room for customers to view the items that you have strategically arranged to make them look their best. If the place looks cluttered and unkempt, you will have to lower your prices to match your sales environment (presentation).

The bottom line is that you are in the business of selling craft items. In order to do this effectively, you must present those items to the public in 'style', so they will not only sell, but bring the best possible prices. If your place looks junky, people will want to pay junk prices.

Other possibilities include specialty foods such as home grown strawberries, chocolate pies, homemade pickles, etc.. this category, however, requires care not to violate pure food laws or possible liability. If you consider any type of foods, find about any needed permits or even get legal advice before going ahead.

Still other alternatives are antiques, selected household items, holiday decorations and potted plants.

The above alternative suggestions can be test-marketed easily. In the case of potted plants, for example, simply place a few in your display area and see how they do. If they don’t sell, try something else; if they do, expand this feature and make more profit.

Use all the free advertising you can get. A way to get it is to write little articles about your consignors and feed them to your local paper --human interest stories: what they make, how they make it, and of course, where you can find their fine products.

It would be even better if you could provide pictures. If you do,, use a good quality BLACK AND WHITE film (it is easier to process for printing in the paper).

The editor probably won’t take more than one article about your shop,, but he may welcome items about different people in the community (even if your shop does get a lug here and there).

Think of the free advertising you might get by writing little items about art exhibits in your studio.

With a good sign and a little publicity, a small (2 or 3 inch) contract ad in the local paper may be all the commercial advertising you need. This type of ad allows you to change all or part of your copy each week or month, so you can feature different items every week.

People (especially in small towns) get to where they look for your ad to see what is on special each week.

Finally, make sure you take in all craft related activities in your area. Attend craft shows, work with stores that craft supplies (they will welcome the opportunity to tell their customers where they can sell their completed projects), and talk 'crafts' whenever you can.

To help create more interest in crafts, consider conducting classes at your place -- if necessary hire a teacher and charge tuition to cover that expense.

    Make Personalized Christmas Ornaments
Making your own personalized Christmas ornaments is an interesting craft project that can be as simple or as fancy as you want to make it. Not only can young children can easily do this craft, with very little supervision, but also this craft can be used as the basis for creating a very personalized Christmas gift.

To help you with this craft, I've provided free, illustrated instructions at:

    http://readingroom.janktheproofer.com/makeornaments.htm

These instructions contain several pictures, so it might take several (long) seconds for the page to open. Once the page does open, then allow a few extra second for all the pictures to appear.

    You'll need:
Clear plastic ornament (I get mine at Michael's)
Personal items to put in the ornament (whatever will fit in the ornament, the examples shown are beach sand and shells, a plastic Mickey Mouse, and a few birthday candles)
Other decorative pieces (such as the bag of stars pictured here)
    Tissue Paper, Curl Ribbon
    Gift Bag, Gift Tag
Open the clear plastic ornament. Insert whatever you'd like to put in it, and then put the two halves of the ornament back together. You might want to put a very small drop of glue on the flanges of the ornament pieces (the edges that overlap each other when you put the two halves together) to make sure that the ornament will stay closed. Be sure to use white glue or any other glue that dries clear. You don't need very much glue. Wipe off any that squeezes out when you put the halves together.
In the personalized ornament that is pictured in the illustrations, I've put in beach sand and a nice shell that I collected on the beach where I live, along with little red and green stars. I've made this personalized ornament to "share a little bit of Florida" with a friend who has never been to Florida. You can do almost anything to "share" a little bit of your world with a friend or family member. You shouldn't use anything that is "organic" because it will likely dry up and wither or get moldy after awhile. It is a good idea to clean the item very thoroughly and allow at least 24 hours for it to dry before you seal it in the ornament.

Here's another idea! Commemorate a special occasion such as Baby's First Christmas! Put one birthday candle and some excelsior (or shredded paper as shown in the illustrations) in the ornament. For newlyweds, seal some memento from the wedding in an ornament and loop gold ribbon through the ornament's hanger hole.

The options for what you can put into a personalized ornament are limitless! Do you know someone who simply adores Tweety Bird or Mickey Mouse? Buy a small plastic figurine of someone's favorite cartoon character or superhero and put it in the ornament.
Be clever! Literally anything that will fit in the plastic ball (square or star shape) can make a delightfully personalized ornament!

Be sure to package the ornament in a colorful gift bag. You can make this small gift look like a million bucks by using a nice gift bag and lots of colored tissue paper. Make your own personalized gift tag to put the finishing touch on your gift. For an easy-to-follow tutorial for making your own gift tags, go to:

Tips To Improve An Online Business
Tips To Improve An Online Business

Tips To Improve An Online Business by Ken Snow

If you have your online business up and running you may want to look at your bottom line and ask yourself if you're making as much as you can. Think about where you want to be. Are you comfortable at your current level or do you want it to be more?

If you think you should be doing more, then you may want to consider making some of the following changes. First, take a look at your website and sales letter. Is there anything that you can improve? You may want to consider investigating some sites that offer free content targeted at attracting customers and establishing your credibility. Some sites are merely one sales letter. There are many ways to set up a site. You need to think about what works for you.

Some people like to have many smaller sites to generate business. They like that because they have no other content and it will focus concentration on the message. If necessary, hire someone to do the writing for you. A well written sales letter will pay for itself many times over. If you decide to change your sales letter, be sure to keep copies for reference along the way. This way you can compare against older letters to see what gets better results.

If you want to reach potential customers, try a direct mailing. You can do this by sending postcards. Many people like to be contacted by way of mail. If you send anything by way of email it runs the risk of being overlooked. Although going online is a popular way to reach people, it isn't the only way. There is a big world outside of the internet. If used effectively, you can get many people to read your message.

Look at who you attract online. Are they repeat customers? Think of ways to compliment your products. If you have product additions, it's always good to let your customers know. If they're happy with one product, maybe they'll be happy with another product that ties in with the first one. Perhaps you offer a service that might be of interest to someone. Let your customers know if you are available for work and other services. Offer them a discount or incentive to use you again. Repeat customers can make great referrals to others about your online business.

With the wealth of information available, there's always something new to learn. There might be something new out there that can significantly change your business for the better. Study some manuals that offer advice. Of course you wouldn't have time to read all that are available, but you can focus on one or two of them. Study them then put the ideas to work and track their success.

Widen your income opportunities. If you sell a home repair book for example, you may want to then sell blueprints or project plans for things like a deck or a utility shed. The idea is to find a natural connection.

As with any business, forging alliances is key for success. Think about a new market to become jointly involved with. For instance, take a home repair book and then become a home loan or construction loan affiliate. Find another great target group that can benefit from your service or product.

In order to grow your business, you'll need to constantly scout for new ones while keeping the business you have. Sometimes slight changes or adjustments are needed to increase your income from your online business.

We want to introduce you to lighter and healthier recipes for your Thanksgiving meal so that you can enjoy the holiday with your family and friends without worrying about packing on extra pounds.

My life as a Work at home mom!
I work out of my home with a small child at home and 2 teens in school. I get to work whenever I want and am able to. Which is mostly mornings. I do alot of different things. I sell on ebay, I do some affiliate programs, I make homemade candles and soaps, I do alot of sewing of handbags, quilts, etc, I sell stuff at fleamarkets, I make candies and sell them to a local woman for her gift baskets, I just do a little bit of everything. I am also looking into breeding and selling German Shepherds. I already have a registered male and am trying to get a hold of a female that I like that is also registered. My husband owns his own business ,but he works out of the home. Sometimes I wish I worked out of the home ,but after a few minutes of thinking that I get back to my work at home.
